Life with Baby Claire!

Baby Claire is thriving! For those who have wondered how things are going...we are doing just fine. I've had help from my big girls and it's been a lot of fun! Claire is a sweet easy baby. She enters into anything we come up with to entertain her. Dancing is tops on the list of intriguing things to do! She also likes to clap, laugh, eat, drink. listen to music and doodle. :) She enjoys nursery rhymes set to a rhythm of sounds. Bath time is a highlight as well as a warm snugly nap! It has been easy to enjoy baby Claire!!
Mom, dad and brother come home from Brazil next Monday . We can hardly wait for them to see her as they walk out the terminal! They may notice that she has eaten well!! It will be a very happy homecoming!

Hi Flower,
Our two adult children that aren't married live in our home and "take care of it" :0)
Goodwill in Washington: cleaner, more organized, better stuff, better sales.
California: dirty, mostly junk, not well organized. (you can still find good stuff but it's not as pleasant shopping there...

I concur with Ellen about thrift stores in CA. They are dirty and junky. I don't go much.

Claire's smile lit up my computer screen!

Thanks for coming over to visit at my blog. I also love George Winston and have read many of the same books. I don't have any grandchildren yet but I am ready! I love your flowers ~ I am a beginner gardener aspiring to have a green thumb! Your granddaughter is a cutie! Enjoy!

Hi- We are back from the beach. The first day it rained hard but the next days were beautiful. We swam in the pools and the Atlantic. It was odd to be facing the ocean and see the sun set to your left.
The hotel was very empty so that was a new experience.. A strange feeling to drive through very poor areas to arrive at a deserted resort. Makes you think about life, etc. The brazilians all take their holidays at one time so Bruce said it will be very busy there a little later on. The resort was like a US mid level hotel except that it had 4 different pools which was fun for Silas. There was a robbery across the street one morning we were there. We swam a lot and Bruce showed us four eyed fish. The beach is great here-wide and flat. The water is warm. We ate fried fish on the beach.

The ride back on the bus was a bit unnerving because the boy driver was talking to his friends and looking at pictures on his camera more than he was watching the road. Bruce said that is normal here. We are glad to be back on the base for a couple of days. We hope to see some more places around Belem.

We are having a great time though missing Claire more and more. Bruce got a little teary at breakfast this morning. Dont get the impression we are sitting around feeling sad though!

You could have dad bring you the high chair if you want it. It probably would make it easier for you. Sorry we forgot that. We loved the picture of you and Claire.

Love, Heidi, Bruce and Silas

We do have Nancy's highchair. She brought it over last Sunday! We did fine before that anyways but it is easier with the chair! I can walk away...:)
Claire and I drove to the Barn Owl Nursery this morning! It was so fun and she was very interested in the beautiful herb plants we saw.
Last night your dad took Claire to Tebos. They were gone just a short time and it meant the world to your dad!! He's coming over tonight to play with her while I pack things for tomorrow. I go to art class and Susi is watching Claire during that time. I missed last week so I didn't want to miss again. I didn't miss because of Claire but because of the wedding.
All is well. We are glad you are having a good time.
See you soon!
