Monday's discoveries!

We decided to take a walk in the woods today right after nap time. My daughter, granddaughter and myself were off to discover some gifts from the farm and woodland. It was warm enough to not wear a coat. We appreciate any day that is this warm and dry during the Fall season.

LilliAnne found a mushroom and presented it to her mommy. A spider web brushed across LilliAnne's face, and she needed reassurance that the spider had not landed on her.
Most everything we saw needed to be patted whether it be moss, mushroom, dirt or an apple.

The walk ended with a plop right down in the dry dirt and stick in hand!! Some good playing was about to begin!!
I am so thankful for these times and for being apart of an unfolding lifetime of discovery!

What wonderful blessing indeed! I love watching the tiny hands of my grandson pat, touch, poke, prod, or throw his nature discoveries. Are the not the best things ever invented, these grandchildren of ours? Yours sure is a curly haired cutie!

So cute! Remind her that spiders are our friends. She'll eventually learn to love the beauty of the webs, I hope.

Love those curls!

This is sooo sweet, Flower!! What a cutie-pie is she! To see life a-new through the eyes of a child is a glorious thing...and helps us stay in touch with our inner-child too! Looks like we've all been taking walks in the woods ;o) Happy Day ((HUGS))

Oh, what a touching post. A walk in the woods with your daughter and granddaughter, and they are both beautiful. Don't you just marvel at the look of wonderment on the faces of children as they make discoveries about the world around them ? That they get excited about things we lost our appreciation and excitement for? Kind of helps me remember what a truly wonderful creation we live with.
