Sights while walking

Each day when walking I see this grouping of plants at the entrance of Stone Creek Golf Club and walking path. It is such an interesting display of height, texture, and color in plants. I wanted to record it just in case my garden needs tweaking next year...I have already decided it does and I can use this roadway garden as a reference. These plants are tolerant to all kinds of weather and don't need constant attention. The path around the golf course goes into the woods and along a stream. There is a fresh feeling in the woods and the water sounds so peaceful.
At one point I looked up to see this huge maple looming over me. Another photo opportunity!!
On up the hill we plodded and back into the open, there are golfers playing their game.
Back up the road to the entrance again and I take another picture from the perspective of leaving the golf course. It's a beautiful place to walk and certainly a good bit of exercise.

looks like a lovely place to walk and have thoughts to yourself. we have a place called radnor lake that is beautiful and peaceful. it is still tooo hot but once it cools off, i'll be right there walking.
what a great idea to get yoour new landscape ideas from something around you already established---you won't have any guess work in whether it will be plants that will survive.

Okay - you've inspired me. Last week, I began walking 4 miles with my neighbor! She's in way better shape than me and goes fast, hill or no hill. But, as we all know, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! When I get to where I can breathe, I'll take my camera!

My husband and I often find ourselves checking out flowerbeds and land scapings and writing down plants that appeal to us for future reference. We have used our references and planted many of the things we saw on trips and travels...and we have been pretty happy with the results. You have a pleasant walk route. KathyB.
