Daisy Wedding

Designing wedding flowers is a wonderful job to have! It's a happy job and especially a happy job when the bride chooses daisies!!! The flowers are open when I buy them and I don't have to hope and pray they open. They also don't wilt easily and it is a hearty flower in the heat or cold.

Saturdays wedding flowers were simple, elegant and natural to put together. The flowers were garden inspired and there were no last minute concerns. The brides bouquet was a clutch style with only one variety of daisy and a rim of lime green lacy greenery surrounding all the blossoms. The bridesmaids had several varieties of daisies and were a bit smaller.
Two large arrangements were used in different locations; the cake table and on the old truck as seen below. The flowers in these tins vases are Daisies, Chocolate mint, Heavenly bamboo, Scented geraniums,Queen Annes Lace and Curly Willow.

The two old wash tubs were used to serve ice water on this very warm day. It is a charming way to serve any cold drink!! The truck was used for the before dinner h'orderves(the correct spelling is up for discussion). One of the large arrangements sat as a backdrop for the pig but it is not shown here. This is another example of using something in a creative way, other than it's intended use! Each table was set with a trio of arrangements set in all sizes of canning jars. Fresh herbs were included. There were fourteen tables under a canopy that kept the quests comfortable and from the sun's glare. The setting for the wedding is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. The little garden shed opens at both sides and a musician often plays from it's door.
This farm a very old for the Northwest and it belongs to the same family who built it many, many years ago. It is a working farm and where a few weddings are held each year. It is the lucky bride who gets to enjoy her wedding day at this amazing location!!

I left before this wedding began, but as I drove off I could see the bridal party arriving to an evening that dreams are made of!!

Yes, daisies are best! Weddings that have daisies in the arrangements usually last a long time, at least 35 years!

Look how sweet those daisies are and they didn't wilt a bit. Everything looks so beautiful Flower. The mason jar filled flowers on the table, the large arrangement and the bouqets. The farm really does look like a wonderful venue for a wedding. Congratulations on another job well done...

Your flower arrangements are beautiful and perfect for that setting. I'm sure the bride was thrilled.

The pig? What? A PIG? Please tell me the pig was to look at and pet and not to be eaten! YIKES!!

Your flowers are lovely. Love the way water was being held too.

Hugs,
Joanne

Daisies are my fav. Were these the flowers you were growing earlier for a wedding? I thought the wedding was to be at your place, must be my mistake. Was that pig for slaughter or the ring bearer hehehe...hugs;)

I love the look of a pretty natural flower arrangement and the idea of an outdoor wedding delights me.
In England you have to be married in a church or registry office -or other religious place.
Such a ideal location.
