Roses, roses, roses...

As I walk around our yard there is certain enjoyment, especially since every planted area is edged and trimmed. Mulch is covering the beds and the weeds have been dealt with. The roses are doing the very best this week to show off .
This rose is an old heirloom peony rose by David Austen named Bishops Castle English Rose. It's head is cupped with many, many petals. The fragrance is powerful with this beauty. I don't know the name of this rose but it's color is like fine lingerie and it is another stunner.
And this lovely lavender rose, called Sterling Silver, was used in Willow's bridal bouquet some years back (I won't tell) and it was perfect for her! It has a very strong scent that lingers as you walk by. (See my new shoes!)
Reba McIntyre Rose: A hot, hot orange, almost red, but it screams, "I'm orange!"

One more.....soft pink rose. We are keeping the water flowing to these roses this week. It's all about weddings right now and it's a great experience to have the blooms put on such a show!!

Wow! Those are doing great! So pretty. But, what do you mean by keeping the water flowing for one more week? Does that mean you stop watering after that?

Hugs,
Joanne

Yes, I remember my lavender roses! I just HAD to have lavender roses in my bouquet. All the roses are lovely! David Austens are my favorites because of the fragrance.

Beautiful! I have room for 7 more rose bushes in my rose garden and am wanting to choose just the right ones. Your post helps so much. I hope you'll post pictures of your floral arrangements for the wedding!

Your Roses are amazing! Thats what I Love best about the northwest is the beautiful roses that grow there. Our Roses in the south are not any where that pretty, its just too hot and humid for them. I know the wedding is going to be amazing!
