What a lovely, tranquil fall scene. Is that your property? I love a long road with trees on either side. Curl up with that book and stay awhile. It's been raining here all day. Kind of gray... Brenda
Hi again Julene, how the festivals works here is according to the different races. There are 3 main races, the Malay, Chinese and Indians. Each has their own cultural and religious festival and it's all celebrated here. So, the next will be Xmas in december followed by Chinese New year early 2009, so if we take in individual non religious celebrations, there's quite a lot here. All main festivals are public holidays so everyone does get to celebrate or at least enjoy the holiday. I think we have the most holidays, plus a King's birthday and individual Sultan's in each state's birthday, all in all, I think there are 16 - 18 days of public holidays here. The theme for Visit Malaysia year is Malaysia, truly Asia, due to the many different religions and races integrated here. So, if you get the chance to pop over one day, you'll experience a mixture of everything :D
I live on a small farm where we grow Christmas trees, vegetables and flowers. We keep chickens and gather their eggs each day. We also have four goats. Our woods give us a little bit of heaven and shelter for the wildlife. We live simply and value each day as it comes.
