Red and purple salvia, purple petunias, grasses, brightly colored geraniums will fill our pots and be nestled into the flower beds. This is just the start of more to come and another season bursting with promise of beautiful flowers! We will water, fertilize and exclaim over the plantings as they flourish!
The color spots this year will be red, peach, orange, yellow, purple, blue, pink and white! The more color....the better!
A quick walk out to the garden area, behind the barn, we find the apple trees making their statement of what is to come! Gravenstein and Red Delicious apples are forming as the bees do their work!
The bees are here!!

Apple blossom time is the best. You are going to have an abundance of apples, dried apple slices and apple sauce this fall.
What about rhubarb?
We have rhubarb but it just doesn't do very well. I should look into why. Rhubarb pie..sounds kind of good right now!
Those deep pink blossoms are amazing. Gorgeous. Hope you were able to get all your planting done. We got some really strong downpours here and there yesterday! Nice and sunny on this Sunday morning...

I love your selection of colors! I'm a peachy, orangy, red person for sure, I get white and blue just to set off the colors I love!
Isn't it interesting how some things have bloomed very early due to our-winter-that-was-summer, but then other things are blooming nearly on schedule. I've noticed that even indigenous flora has done the same, some things nearly two months ahead, and then others so very close to average.
Our apple trees are right on cue. They bloom from the third week in April to the end of the first week in May, the Lilacs do the same.
