Well, that is just how it feels to be back to blog land. It is a good day!
While taking my break I've managed to get waste deep into organizing our photos. It's been a challenge to established a method of purging old photos and making a place to put each valuable memory. Through the years I have purchased albums with the intention of filling them up. It didn't get done! It is going to be a long journey getting the photos put into the books but the process has begun! I have a room where I can walk away, shut the door....easily walk back to it, and pick up where I left off. If anyone saw the room they would wonder what the method was!! It's a good thing to have this room...that is for sure!! :)
Boxes and boxes of photos wait....for me.....to look at.....and organize! Tucked in between each photo is a memory. This takes time and a lot of it! Sometimes I walk out of the room feeling stunned and tired. I must keep going....get it done....and rejoice!!
Piles are growing..one for Derin, one for Laura, and plenty left over for us!
Of course...this labor doesn't begin to touch the thousands of digital photos on my computer! How about you?

Yikes! You KNOW how many photos I have still to deal with! Let's do this together across the miles.
Yes, lets do it! The things I read about organizing photos don't begin to do the job justice! There aren't words or directions enough to cut through the emotion that is accrued from this task!! My advice is to "just do it!"

I hear you ladies! I think I'll deal with moving my condo up to my house, figuring out where to put all all all the dishes and then move on to the photos...sometime. :0)

I was looking for one picture that was needed for my new wall in the Family room. I finally started putting the pics in piles...one of each kid and etc. That was such a refreshing start...it meant there is hope (o: I can do this. I may try to do a scrap book for each and then just a box of pictures. Sure I will keep a box or a scrap book, but I don't need them all. Lots of work.
from the sound of the other comments...we could start a 'picture hoarder anonymous' .

Hi, Julene! Great to see you back here... and you sure where busy while away! Oh, the photo...even just the digital ones take ages...LOL! We have things in separate "folders" which makes it easier but still--but still each week have lots to organize! We stopped using film camera some years ago, but I still have a big box of print photos to organize...one of these days! ;o) Wishing you & yours a very sweet Valentine Weekend, my friend ((BIG HUGS))
